We will cover arrangement ideas, lighting, transferring of subject, and various color palettes, such as: complementary, limited palette, under painting and glazing.
Supplies you'll need for painting in acrylics or oil: Good photographic references blown up on a copier to 8.5 x 11. Bring original too or bring objects for a still life, black charcoal pencils, canvas 11 x 14 or larger, palette knife for mixing, palette, a nice assortment of round hog bristle brushes 0, 2, 4, 6, and 10, Mop #4, Liner #2, Fan #5, large hake. Or bring your favorites from home. Old shirt or apron.

Whether you are new to drawing or have been working on your skills but you feel you need more, this class is for you. Learning the basics while sharpening your techniques will alleviate your frustrations and bring you to a new level of skill and enjoyment.
Supplies you'll need: Good photographic references blown up on a copier to 8.5 x 11. Bring original image too. Drawing pad spiral bound sketch book 11 x 14 or larger, drawing board, bristol board, pencils 2H, HB, 2B, ebony and mechanical , erasers: kneaded, plastic and eraser stick, 3 blending stumps: small, medium and large, ruler, drafting brush, template circle, elipse.
